I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice to determine what changes are best for you. Your personalized program will radically improve your health and happiness. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.

My approach is holistic — that means looking at the big picture and all of its small details.

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which includes all of the interconnected aspects of your lifestyle. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all aspects of your life affect your health as a whole.

Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions of “good” or “bad” foods, I emphasize a nutrient-dense approach with defined eating windows and an ancestrally consistent lifestyle. Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, living pain free, and maximizing energy.

As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.

Nutrient forward approach

When we consider the foods we choose as fuel and building blocks for our bodies, the bioavailability of nutrients becomes of primary interest. We concentrate less on the specific nutrient profile of a food and instead on how easily assimilated these nutrients will be for the many processes and functions that take place on a moment-to-moment basis inside our body. 

Defined eating windows

Besides the importance of what we eat, we can’t ignore the importance of when we eat. By giving our bodies space and time away from eating and digestion, other cleaning, repairing and healing functions are able to occur. We will work with various eating windows and find which is best for you.

Ancestral lifestyle

Our world is vastly different from what it was when we evolved, but there are ways to examine our past and incorporate that wisdom into our present lives. By operating through an ancestral lens, we’ll work to make our nutrition and lifestyle choices more consistent with what our ancestors would have practiced through seasonal eating, crowding out processed food and oils, and respecting our circadian rhythm.

 

Bio-Individuality™

The concept of bio-individuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background.

Deconstructing cravings

Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn’t be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony.
